And the Winner Is...

So the World's Worst Mom Contest is this week and let me tell you why I SUCK at life and deserve to win the award...ok so my child is sick and so I go to the store to get some cough medicine and come back and open the bottle up only to find out it's for kids 6 and up. Lovely. (I'm fairly certain they don't make cough syrup for 2 year olds.)

Then yesterday Jake developed red SPOTS all over his legs and arms (it looks a little like hives) and I haven't the slightest clue how to get rid of them or if it's a big problem. So did I call the doctor like most normal, good parents would? ...no.

And lastly...Jake's birthday (the BIG 2) is in a week and I have NOTHING, and I mean nothing planned for it. So don't feel bad if you didn't get an invitation...cause no one did. Nor do I have a present or anything. It's a good thing he doesn't know or care too much that his mom is a big dork. I am such a slacker lately. What the crap is wrong with me?

Do you need help planning something? I'd be happy to help! Give me a call

First of all, no, they do have over-the-counter cough medicine for kids. (You can thank all the brilliant parents who O.D.'ed their 3 week olds for that one.) Secondly, what is going on with the red spots? That you should probably get looked at. And lastly, you still have 2 weeks!! (Plus, the party you gave him for his one year should hold you over for a few years since it was so cute.) So in conclusion, I am stripping you of the "Worst Mom of the Year" award. Sorry. Try again next year.

He couldn't possibly have chicken pox could he? My sister Kimber got it at 18 months old from her old sister who got it from her older brother who got it from primary hahahaha. Brittany don't get down! You're an amazing mother, super strong, and very creative! Everything will work out

Oh, Brittany. You are such an incredible, loving mother. Your entire world is Jake and he knows it. That is why he is such a sweet, happy boy.
